Software Engineer – DCGPU Infrastructure
THE ROLE:

We are looking for a Software Engineer with an obsession for software automation and infrastructure. As part of the role, this engineer will work closely with other firmware engineers, software developers and architects across various IPs in designing and implementing automation solutions that impact AMD AI products.

THE PERSON:

You are passionate about software development with creative and effective problem-solving skills, a motivated, self‑starter who can work both independently and collaboratively in fast‑paced environments. You have excellent technical communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Participate in the design, development, and maintenance of DCGPU cluster automation and core infrastructure systems.
  • Build and maintain DevOps workflows, including CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
  • Assist with containerized deployments using Kubernetes and Helm in development and production environments.
  • Develop infrastructure tools and services using Python, Golang, or similar programming languages.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and cross‑functional teams to integrate infrastructure components.
  • Assist in troubleshooting system‑level issues across Linux, container, cloud, or bare‑metal environments.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:
  • 0–3 years of experience (or strong academic, internship, or project experience) in systems, infrastructure, or DevOps‑related areas.
  • Familiarity with Linux systems, basic networking, and system debugging concepts.
  • Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions) through coursework, internships, or personal projects.
  • Basic understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm is a plus.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) is an advantage but not required.
  • Experience with embedded systems or firmware is a plus.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
