This position offers a unique opportunity to work in an innovative pilot project focused on domestic violence, while making a direct impact in the anglophone community of Côte-de-Gaspé.
- Facilitate access to services: Ensure that anglophone women can easily access the organization’s services.
- Organize individual clinical days: Provide direct interventions with anglophone women through individual consultations.
- Establish a childcare bank: Set up a childcare resource to enable mothers to participate in community activities and individual consultations.
- Translate the website: Translate the organization’s website into English to increase accessibility.
- Develop intervention tools: Create tools specifically for working with domestic violence and post-separation, tailored for the anglophone clientele.
- Create community partnerships: Develop partnerships with anglophone community organizations and participate in coordination tables to strengthen the support network.
- Develop information and prevention kits: Create and distribute information and prevention kits for the families of domestic violence victims, their children, as well as employers, social workers, and early childhood educators.
- Train anglophone professionals: Provide training on domestic violence and post-separation to anglophone professionals in the health and social services sectors.
- Encourage community engagement: Organize workshops and other activities to foster engagement with the anglophone community, including in schools.
- Evaluate the pilot project: Participate in the development and annual evaluation of the pilot project to measure its impact and results.
- Final project report: At the end of the project, write a detailed report on the victimization of anglophone women in the Côte-de-Gaspé region, their participation in community activities, consultation days, and housing in MH1 or MH2.
- Other related tasks: Perform other tasks as requested by the management related to the project.
-A degree in social work, human sciences, or a related field.
-Strong knowledge of domestic violence, its dynamics, and its impacts.
-Familiarity with the local community network and available resources.
-Adherence to professional ethical values: confidentiality, professional relationships with clients and partners.
-Good judgment, autonomy, and the ability to work independently.
