A community support services organization in Ottawa is seeking a Social Worker to address the social determinants of health for individuals and families. You will provide therapeutic counselling, assist clients in navigating health care systems, and advocate for informed decision-making. The Opportunity: Social Worker- Allied Health Permanent
Social workers address the social determinants of health (SDH) of individuals and families in the community, recognizing how these factors influence health status and outcomes. They are skilled facilitators who assist clients and families in resolving challenges related to changing health care status, provide therapeutic counselling to address mental health needs and coping abilities of clients, caregivers and families, and serve as experts in system navigation, advocacy, and promoting informed decision-making.
