Here Is What You Will Be Doing Each Day
  • Create and implement social media strategies on behalf of The Josie and The Velvet Restaurant & Lounge to local, national and global audiences in the form of daily social media posts, stories.
  • Plan social media calendar incorporating special events, happenings throughout the hotel and restaurant, on-mountain activities, associate stories.
  • Collaborate with hotel departments on special events, food and beverage offerings, resort and town events to generate appropriate content.
  • Write, edit and proofread social media content in brand voice. Distribute the best of Rossland, RED & The Josie to our social media community.
  • Take a lead role in content direction and asset management for the hotel – own our image bank.
  • Work with property photographer to support in photoshoots under brand guidelines.
  • Capture image and short video content on property to deploy in the form of stories, reels and image posts across.
  • Manage and build relationships with our guests, social media ambassadors and influencers in our online community Facebook, Instagram, YouTube etc.
  • Manage and monitor paid social media campaigns.
  • Own on-property social media strategy to encourage user generated content. Curate, moderate and seek permission to share user-generated content.
  • Report on account growth, analytics and engagement monthly.
  • Support in activation of sales and marketing events as needed.
  • Be present at select hotel and restaurant events to capture social media content.
  • Other duties to support the sales and marketing department as required.
Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a Social Media Coordinator to join The Josie, Autograph Collection team in a seasonal, part-time (15-20 hours per week) capacity. As a creative, clear writer and storyteller, you’ll be the voice behind The Josie & The Velvet Restaurant & Lounge’s social media accounts. You’ll work closely with the sales, marketing and operational teams to champion the hotel and restaurant’s organic and paid content strategies. You’ll share the best of RED and Rossland to drive hotel and destination awareness and foster deeper connections with our online community.
