Social Media Content Creator – Art Vancouver 2026📍 Vancouver / Remote📅 May 28–31, 2026 (with prep leading up to the fair)

As a Social Media Content Creator for Art Vancouver, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing social media strategies to enhance brand awareness, engage our audience, and drive online traffic. You will collaborate closely with our marketing team to create compelling content across multiple platforms, ensuring the fair’s message is effectively communicated. This is a flexible role with remote opportunities for content creation, alongside in‑person work during the event itself.

Responsibilities
  • Develop engaging, shareable content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
  • Create visually appealing graphics, videos, reels, and other multimedia elements to accompany social media posts.
  • Assist with content planning for newsletters, promotions, and event marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Implement social media campaigns aligned with marketing goals and promotional activities.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics to assess the success of campaigns.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for improvements based on data.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging platforms to keep Art Vancouver at the forefront of digital marketing.
  • Work with the marketing team to align social media efforts with overall strategies.
  • Collaborate with other departments, artists, and sponsors to gather content and insights.
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide artists, sponsors, and performers with accurate event information.
  • Self‑motivated, able to work independently, and also as part of a team.
  • Enthusiasm and a keen interest in visual arts, culture, and event management.
  • Experience with email, Gmail, Google Drive, and social media platforms.
  • Experience or qualifications in social media, marketing, or content creation are a plus but not essential.
Certification or Education Required
  • High school diploma, University degree.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing social media accounts for businesses or brands.
  • Proficient in social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
