Site Supervisor – Wood Chipping Operation - Hinton, Alberta - (One year Contract)

BC Eco Industrial Services are looking for an Experienced Supervisor to join our chipping, grinding and Log Yard operations in Hinton Alberta. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising and coordinating the activities of crew members engaged in debarking, sawing, cleaning, and chipping logs to make wood chips.
  • Operate other heavy equipment as required
  • Ability to travel to various job sites as required.
  • Ensure company policies, core values and culture are being consistently upheld.

Required Qualifications & Skills

As a member of the BC Eco team, we expect you bring the following to the table:

  • Minimum 3 years experience of running a small crew
  • Familiarity with wood chipping operations
  • Mechanical aptitude and capable of performing basic daily equipment maintenance is a necessity.
  • Motivated self-starter with positive attitude and proven safety record.
  • Experience running other types of heavy equipment would be an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
  • Physically fit and able to walk uneven ground, chip piles and log yard locations.
  • Team player who is willing to pitch in wherever needed.
