Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site leadership and coordination of all construction activities, from mobilization through to project turnover.
  • Manage daily site operations, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, safety standards, and building codes.
  • Direct and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff to maintain productivity and meet project milestones.
  • Monitor and enforce Health & Safety compliance in accordance with OHSA and Traugott policies.
  • Conduct daily site meetings, maintain logs, and oversee documentation such as site reports, deficiencies, and inspections.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure budget, schedule, and quality objectives are met.
  • Identify and resolve site challenges, proactively addressing risks or conflicts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, inspectors, and the community.

The Person
  • 7+ years’ experience as a Site Superintendent in ICI, LTC, or multi-residential construction.
  • Proven track record managing projects from site setup to occupancy.
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code, OHSA, and construction best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Proficiency with Procore or other construction management software considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Red Seal Carpenter, Gold Seal Certification, or equivalent trade background an asset.
