General Bank of Canada is looking for a permanent, fulltime Site Reliability Engineer to join the Bank's Data, Technology and Innovation (DTI) team. Consistent with the growth trajectory of the Bank, this is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to contribute to building the Bank of the future with considerable potential for learning, growth, and advancement.
Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Computing Services, the Site Reliability Engineer will be a critical contributor to the company's evolution to a cloud first strategy and the department's shift to DevSecOps practices. This change will be supported by agile information technology (IT) and business practices, and the role will be responsible for managing the supporting technology that supports the Bank's operations.
The Site Reliability Engineer will evaluate existing systems and their configurations, then implement changes in configuration, tools, and processes to increase reliability and efficiency. This role will perform both more traditional SysOps and DevSecOps related functions.
