Overview

SIA OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

The Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists (SIA) regulates the profession of agrology in Saskatchewan to protect the public by ensuring safe, competent and ethical practice. The Institute registers Professional Agrologists and Technical Agrologists in Saskatchewan. Only agrologists registered with the Institute are legally entitled to practise agrology in the Province of Saskatchewan.

Job Objective

The Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to provide accurate and efficient administrative and reception support. This full-time, in-office role is essential to ensuring smooth daily operations, supporting staff, and maintaining a high standard of organizational effectiveness. The ideal candidate will be proactive, professional, and committed to excellence in administrative service.

Position Type: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Location: In-office only (no hybrid work arrangements)
  • Travel: Some travel within Saskatchewan may be required
Responsibilities
  • Answer phones and assist walk-in agrologists and guests
  • Handle incoming mail and outgoing correspondence
  • Filing
  • Order office supplies
  • Assist in managing the database
  • Process and reconcile daily financial transactions
  • Coordinate and attend in-person and online meetings
  • Provide executive and clerical support to the Executive Director & Registrar as needed
  • Provide administrative support to Council and Committees as needed
  • Coordinate logistics for Council and Committee in-person or virtual meetings

Education and Experience
  • Business diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) years in an administrative role an asset
Other Requirements
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Have a valid driver’s licence
  • Able to travel outside of typical work hours
