The University Of Toronto is seeking Laboratory Demonstrators/Tutorial Leaders for the CHM211H5F course. Candidates should hold a B.Sc. in Chemistry or Biochemistry with strong communication skills and prior TA experience. Responsibilities include leading tutorials and conducting laboratory demonstrations. This is a sessional role scheduled from September to December 2025.

Course Description
:
A rigorous introduction to the theory and practice of analytical chemistry. Development and applications of basic statistical concepts in treatment and interpretation of analytical data; direct and indirect precipitations; volumetric methods; acid-base, complexometric, redox and precipitation titrations; introduction to instrumental methods; potentiometry and absorption spectroscopy. Applications in biomedical, forensic and environmental areas will be considered.

Qualifications
:B.Sc. in Chemistry and/or Biochemistry. Sound knowledge in contents covered in the course required. Previous TA experience working with undergraduate students in Chemistry laboratory and/or tutorial setting an asset to be able to demonstrate and deliver course content consistently within the UofT's standards. Good communication skills are required as well.
Description of Duties
: Duties will include laboratory demonstrations, leading tutorials, marking laboratory reports, and/or quizzes/assignments. May also include invigilation of term tests and/or final exam.
