Job description
Overview

As a member of the Head Office Parts Department, you will accurately pick orders from inventory stock, receive and stock product on shelves, package and ship orders, enter / post orders on Maxim’s internal business system, and complete related paperwork. There is potential for growth within Maxim.

Responsibilities
  • Picks parts based on computer generated pick ticket; places completed orders in branch bins or customer direct deliver section of warehouse.
  • Consolidates orders going to same location and packages for shipping. Loads and unloads couriers and delivery trucks from other branches.
  • Completes accurate associated paperwork by hand and by computer (for example : computer generated invoices for direct customer delivery or customer pick-up orders; creates packing slips for inter-branch transfers; completes credit card transactions for customers).
  • Completes repetitive tasks involving both fine motor movements and lifting and carrying up to 80 pounds throughout your shift.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to read computerized tickets
  • Valid Driver’s License with own vehicle
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds without assistance
  • Ability to complete repetitive fine motor activities for up to 8 hours including : picking and sorting small parts by part number; using label makers; handwriting forms; using tapes guns; computer keyboarding data entry
  • Team player attitude
  • Shows strong attention to detail
  • Shows a learner attitude, initiative, and diligence
  • Forklift experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of heavy-duty truck and trailer industry is an asset
  • Basic computer skills : data entry and keyboarding
