Description:

A studio course examining the particular properties of various time-based art forms, including audio and audio installation, video and video installation, interactive performance and other time-based media used by artists. Readings, gallery visits and screenings and presentations provide background to these art practices. Students produce projects responding to assignments.

Salary:

$9,820.70 for Sessional Lecturer I ($10,510.04 for SLI Long Term);

$10,510.04 for Sessional Lecturer II ($10,760.28 for SLII Long Term);

$10,760.28 for Sessional Lecturer III ($11,030.36 for SLIII Long Term), inclusive of vacation pay

Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail

Minimum Qualifications - MA or MFA (or equivalent graduate degree) required with previous teaching experience. Strong exhibition history and currently exhibiting artist showing digital media, computational, and/or artist’s moving image art. Applicants may be asked to supply references.

Preferred Qualifications - Internationally recognized practice.

Duties - Preparation and delivery of course material; managing digital teaching materials, supervision of teaching assistants; preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations and deferred final examinations; marking of student work, submission of grades, dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions and student contact hours.
