Key Responsibilities
  • Use cutting‑edge tools and technology to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of equipment.
  • Travel to local farms to provide on‑site service and keep everything running smoothly.
  • Conduct regular checks and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and prevent any unexpected downtime during crucial farming seasons.
  • Utilize John Deere computer programs to access manuals, run diagnostics, carry out precise repairs, and install the latest upgrades and modifications to equipment.
  • Work alongside a dynamic team of skilled professionals, sharing insights and solving complex technical problems together.
  • Engage in company‑sponsored training programs to expand your expertise and stay ahead of the curve.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Requirements
  • Education: Journeyperson Certificate – Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) or Agricultural Equipment Technician (AET).
  • Experience: 4+ years in agriculture equipment repair or a related field. Previous John Deere agricultural equipment and product experience is an asset.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and computer‑based diagnostic tools.
  • People‑Focused: Team player with a friendly, professional attitude and focus on customer service.
  • Soft Skills: Attention to detail, strong time management, ability to work independently, and adaptability.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs with long periods of standing and walking.
  • Valid Driver's License: Needed for travel to service calls.
