Overview

We require a full-time employee to work as a scale technician with a scale company located on Annacis Island. Work area covered is all of the lower mainland of Vancouver and Vancouver Island.

Responsibilities
  • Perform calibration, maintenance and repair of weighing scales in the field and on-site.
  • Travel to customer sites across the lower mainland and Vancouver Island; field work is common.
  • Learn and apply basic electronics concepts relevant to scale calibration and repair.
  • Provide courteous, professional service and work as part of a customer-focused team.
  • Train to become accredited with Measurement Canada as an inspector to certify scales for legal trade.
Qualifications
  • Mechanically inclined with ability to learn basic electronics.
  • Preference given to a person with a Class 3 driver’s licence to drive our large weight truck, or willingness to obtain licence at a later date.
  • Willing to undertake training to become Measurement Canada accredited as an inspector.
  • Good with customers and able to work as part of a team.
