What it’s like to be a Northbridge Senior Underwriter, Technical Risk (Equipment Breakdown)

As a Senior Underwriter in our Technical Risk team, you’ll play a key role in assessing and underwriting complex equipment breakdown risks across a diverse portfolio of commercial and industrial clients. You’ll use your technical expertise to evaluate mechanical and electrical systems, collaborate with brokers and internal teams, and craft tailored insurance solutions for our commercial clients when they need insurance products to cover our large, commercial technical risks.

While you might already be an expert in your own field, Northbridge is committed to ongoing growth and development. Working in a collaborative team you will provide coaching, mentoring and development for less experienced underwriters.

Your qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial underwriting experience, preferably in equipment breakdown or technical property lines
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pressure systems
• Completed, or pursuing your CIP designation
• Strong customer service background
• Team-first mentality
