We’re looking for a Senior Test Automation Developer to join our team in North America.

As a Senior Test Automation Developer, you will be joining Lightspeed Golf as we build the future of our much-loved Chronogolf platform and ecosystem. You’ll join a cross-functional organisation in North America looking to leverage the forefront of automated testing (UI, API, end-to-end, performance, etc.), CI/CD and DevOps to deliver the highest quality product to our users, faster and more securely than ever before. You will be instrumental in building on our existing infrastructure, test automation and pipelines, developing anew to meet our ambitious requirements, and working with developers, QA, EMs and PMs to embed quality best practices across our software delivery processes. At Lightspeed, we are dedicated to powering SMBs, and you'll play a key role in bringing innovation to the golf industry.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work closely with QA to Design and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases from requirements and specifications.
  • Lead the creation and implementation of test automation strategies and frameworks across API, UI, end-to-end, reliability, and scale testing.
  • Integrate quality goals and automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with cross-functional teams (Development and SRE).
  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and execution of automated test scripts for functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.
  • Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Ensure high-quality software releases by maintaining test coverage, execution speed, and reliability.
  • Stay current with industry trends in test automation and champion the use of tools, including Generative AI, to enhance test case generation, code reviews, and automation.
  • Perform test data management, ensuring the identification, creation, and security of data for automation needs.
  • Translate manual regression test cases into automated test scripts.
  • Advocate for and implement test automation best practices within the team and across development teams.
  • Report to and collaborate with Development Managers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to ensure product quality through automation-focused solutions.
  • Act as a strong customer advocate with a focus on quality.
  • Support engineering teams through planning, discovery, execution, and learning phases to deliver business value.

What you need to bring:

  • 5+ years of Test Automation / Quality Engineering / Software Developer in Test experience, ideally with exposure to Ruby/Ruby on Rails, Typescript/Javascript
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Jest, Selenium, TestCafe, Postman, AWS/GCP/Azure, Datadog
  • Proficiency with scripting languages
  • Ability and interest in developing test automation frameworks from scratch
  • Expertise in test planning and cross team collaborative efforts.
  • Experience working with distributed systems at large scale
  • Able to write and review systems design and code with other team members
  • Able to deliver well-designed high-quality code on time
  • CI/CD experience with Jenkins, CircleCI and similar
  • Experience with Performance testing is an asset (Jmeter, LoadRunner)
  • Have a continuous improvement mindset and be willing to lead by example
