Job Description : Senior Tax Manager (Partner Track) Real 37.5 hours per week
We are a well-established, mid-sized accounting firm providing a full range of taxation, assurance, and advisory services to a diverse client base. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review personal and corporate tax compliance (T1, T2) and planning engagements.
- Provide advanced tax advisory services, including corporate reorganizations, succession planning, and compliance with ASPE or IFRS.
- Act as the primary contact for clients, building long-term relationships and delivering high-quality strategic advice.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise junior and intermediate tax staff to develop their technical and professional skills.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian tax legislation, and stay current on evolving regulations and best practices.
- Collaborate with other managers and partners to improve internal processes and contribute to firm-wide initiatives.
- Leverage professional judgment to manage complex client matters and provide innovative tax strategies.
- Contribute to business development through networking, proposals, and identifying new service opportunities.
- Participate in firm operations and strategy discussions, supporting technology adoption, recruitment, and service innovation.
Required Qualifications
- CPA designation
- 3 to 5 years of post-CPA experience in public accounting with a focus on taxation.
- 1 to 3 years of management or supervisory experience.
- Strong client-facing skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Experience reviewing personal and corporate tax returns (T1 and T2).
- Working knowledge of ASPE regulations (or IFRS).
- In-Depth Tax Program completed or in progress is preferred.
- Proficiency with TaxPrep and CaseWare software.
