A public accounting firm in Toronto seeks a professional with at least three years of experience in public practice. Responsibilities include planning audits, preparing financial statements, and supervising junior staff. Candidates must have a university degree and be close to completing their CPA, CA designation, along with solid knowledge of GAAP and Canadian tax regulations. Professional staff members in this position have at least three years’ experience in a public accounting firm. This position is responsible for various engagements and may at times be involved in two or more assignments simultaneously. Professional staff members must have a thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting and Auditing Principals (GAAP and GAAS) and Canadian taxation to be able to carry out and supervise field work in the more complex areas of the audit.
