Job Description

Global Functions Technology (GFT) is part of RBC’s Technology and Operations division. GFT’s impact is far-reaching as we collaborate with partners from across the company to deliver innovative and transformative IT solutions. Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration.

What will you do?

As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cyber security and risk posture of our organization.

  • Applies extensive, in-depth knowledge, skills, and practices to design, and develop innovative, scalable, high-performance automation solutions using the latest technologies to support regulatory risk compliance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional enterprise teams (IT, Business Units, Technology Infrastructure groups, IT Risk, Information Security Groups, etc.) to develop automation solution aimed towards efficient and accurate identification, analysis and remediation of IT risks items.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AI industry trends, cyber security trends and RBC Information Security policies.
  • Serves as a resource integrator – builds professional networks and identify/connect resources to solve problems/issues and achieve goals. Regularly contributes actionable ideas in planning/design sessions.
  • Provides direction, expertise, feedback, and proactive coaching to the team and recommends continuous improvement of processes to optimize team productivity.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
  • 5+ years technical leadership experience in delivering high resilient software solutions in Python, Selenium, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous request handling.
  • Experience with Prompt Engineering and AI Agents
  • Proficiency in working with various DevOps tools (e.g. Helios, Jenkins, Snyk) and Databases (e.g. SQL, PostGres, Oracle, and Maria DB)
  • Experience in complex application integration development involving ITIL tools, such as ticketing tools (e.g. ServiceNow, JIRA), visualization tools (e.g. Tableau), storage solutions (e.g. NAS, Confluence, SharePoint).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and establish strong working relationships with stakeholders.
  • The ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
Nice-to-have
  • Industry certifications on cloud and AI software development
  • IT Risk certifications - CRISC, CISM, CCSA, CCSK
