A leading technology company is seeking a Senior Site Workplace Health and Safety Manager in St. Thomas, Ontario. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and leading continuous improvement initiatives. Amazon is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Site Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager to join our team. You will partner with the site-level operations team for your designated site to execute company WHS policies and ensure compliance with local and regional regulations. By leveraging lean principles and Kaizen events, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in Amazon's processes to ensure a safe and healthful working environment for our associates.
You must demonstrate the ability to build trust with cross-functional operations teams and influence change through comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis. You will communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing. You will instruct and train operations leadership and site WHS professionals in company EHS policies while assisting regional teams in incorporating safety standards at sites. Your experience in safety programs and knowledge of safety, environmental, and ergonomic practices in an operations environment will be crucial.
You will be responsible for developing a team of safety managers and safety professionals at your designated site. Your success will depend on creating and executing leadership development plans for the larger team. You must communicate organizational direction effectively through your team. As a senior leader in the WHS organization, you will assess safety talent to determine bench strength for current and future business needs.
Those who do not have an adult First Aid, CPR, AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross must obtain certification within 3 weeks of start date.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon\'s package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
