Summary

We are looking for Senior Sales Director for one of our portfolio companies, a leading company in plant propagation, based in Langley, BC. you will be responsible for driving strategic sales initiatives, overseeing key customer relationships, and leading a high-performance sales team. You will play a critical role in shaping our market strategy, optimizing revenue growth, and expanding our footprint across the horticultural sectors.

Role Overview
  • Develop and execute national sales strategies to drive revenue growth across key verticals including commercial greenhouse operations, nurseries, and retailers.
  • Lead, mentor, and expand a team of regional sales managers and account executives.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with high-value clients, distributors, and strategic partners.
  • Identify new business opportunities, markets, and customer segments to support expansion and diversification.
  • Work closely with operations, production, and marketing teams to align supply capabilities with market demand.
  • Analyze sales metrics and performance data to optimize pricing, margins, and account performance.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, customer events, and partner meetings.
  • Report directly to the Executive Leadership Team and contribute to high-level business planning.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in B2B sales, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong background in horticulture, agriculture, or a related industry is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-million dollar accounts and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Experience scaling sales teams and implementing modern sales processes and technologies.
  • Strategic thinker with strong financial acumen and business development expertise.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel if required by the business.
Nice to Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Business Administration, Horticulture, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of the commercial plant propagation market or agricultural supply chains.
  • Existing network within the greenhouse, nursery, or large-scale farming industries.
