Ferrovial Construction Canada Inc. and VINCI Construction Grands Projets are undertaking the design, build, and finance the Ontario Line Southern Civil, Stations, and Tunnel (South Civil) package.

As Ontario Transit Group, we are now mobilizing our design and construction crews, with major works. The South Civil contract is anticipated to be completed in 2030.

The project will strengthen Ontario’s economy by supporting an estimated 1,500 jobs at the peak of construction.

What is the project?

  • A six-kilometer tunnel and associated tunnelling works from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River).
  • Stations:
    • One above-ground station to be integrated with the existing GO Transit Exhibition Station.
    • Two underground stations to be integrated with the existing TTC Osgoode and Queen subway stations.
    • Four new underground stations (King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown).

Job Description

The Senior Project Coordinator is responsible for supportingproject delivery for Ontario Line South by managing data, analyzing costs, and tracking progress. In this role, you will review contracts and drawings, prepare procurement lists and RFIs, coordinate civil works with other trades, and liaise with stakeholders. You’ll also assist with reporting, documentation, and as-built submissions while ensuring smooth communication across teams in a fast-paced environment.

The salary range for this position is $95,000 CAD - $135,000 CAD, plus additional benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver strategic insights by providing managementwith accurate data analysis and actionable project insights to support decision making.
  • Drive documentation excellence by reviewing and interpreting contract documents, construction drawings,prepare procurement lists, RFIs, change orders, permits, and traffic/land documentation with precision.
  • Monitor performance bytracking productivity, costs, and progress for Ontario Line South, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Liaise withstakeholders, vendors, and owners to communicate schedules and resolve issues proactively.
  • Oversee financial reporting by preparing and presenting detailed job cost reports and contribute to month-end reconciliation and financial accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance by maintaining organized project files and correspondence, ensuring adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support design and delivery by coordinating preparation and submission ofas-built drawings and design drawings.
  • Optimize construction methods by working with subcontractors and the methods department to define optional construction sequences and methodologies.
  • Manage cross-trade coordination by aligning civil works with other trades (waterproofing, MEP, architectural trades) to prevent conflicts and maintain workflow.
  • Perform effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in the construction industry with experience in building construction.
  • Ability to readand understand construction drawings and documents.
  • Sound computer skills inMS Excel / Lotus, MS Word, MS Project.
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written.
  • Self-motivated with good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with others as a team.
