Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Performance Test Engineer with expertise in JMeter to join our QEA Team. You will be responsible for performance test planning, execution and reporting of all performance activities in your area of responsibility within the banking domain.

In this role, you will
  • Design, develop, and maintain performance test scripts using JMeter.
  • Manage and lead performance testing activities across multiple large-scale enterprise-wide programs/projects for our banking client.
  • Analyze Splunk logs, Dynatrace distributed traces, method hotspots and response-time hotspots to identify slow components and provide recommendations.
  • Continuously improve performance test processes and automation efficiency.
  • Understand Non-Functional Requirements and the underlying application Architecture and technology stack, to ensure overall Performance coverage across various systems.
  • Provide detailed performance test reports and recommendations for improvement to project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and identify performance testing needs.
What you’ll need to succeed (required skills)
  • Overall 8-14 years of professional experience as Performance Testing Engineer with good hands-on experience in implementing performance & high availability strategies to optimize the efficiency of applications.
  • Must have 5+ years of strong hands-on skills with test script development using JMeter.
  • Strong experience in executing performance tests (load/stress/endurance) using JMeter.
  • Must have hands-on experience in APM tools like Dynatrace & AppDynamics to conduct root cause analysis for performance and scalability bottlenecks.
  • Experience in performance testing for Cloud deployments, Docker/Kubernetes containerized applications and microservices.
  • Strong knowledge on Java/Python, SQL query creation and manipulation skills.
  • Good experience in SRE DevOps to enhance the stability and scalability of systems.
  • Experience in Auto-Scaling, Chaos and failover testing to measure and test for Pod/Node failures, Network exhaustion, CPU/memory saturation, Container startup failures and Dependency failures etc.
  • Strong ability to track and contribute to technical discussions around application integration and high-availability, resilience and observability.
  • Individual Contributor with good communication skills.
