Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Senior Mechanical Designer role located in Cornwall, ON. The Senior Mechanical Designer will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings, collaborating on machine and enclosure designs, and contributing to research and development projects. This role will involve using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create precise designs and supporting mechanical engineering tasks to deliver custom industrial solutions that meet client specifications. The Senior Mechanical Designer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Technical Drawing and Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
• Proficiency in Machine Design and Mechanical Engineering principles
• Experience in Research and Development (R&D) with an innovative approach to complex challenges
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is required
• Previous experience in designing for industrial enclosures, mechanical components, or related fields is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is highly desirable

Nice to Have

• Experience in the design of enclosures, silencers, tanks, or similar fabricated products.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards.
• Experience supporting manufacturing/fabrication shops.
