Senior Marketing Consultant - Public Sector & Healthcare

This 1-year contract is for a Senior Consultant Marketing expert with a focus on the Health, Provincial / Municipal government sectors. The responsibilities include developing and executing the go-to-market strategy and campaigns for these sectors across Canada as well as providing business development support. This role reports into the Vice President Marketing & Communications for CGI’s Canadian Operations.

The role involves collaboration with multi-disciplinary marketing & communications teams, industry experts from around the world and senior business development leaders. The successful candidate will combine passion for marketing with an entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Your future duties and responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for the Health, Provincial & Municipal government sectors in Canada, in collaboration with key industry experts and stakeholders in Canadian business units, global teams, and our marketing and communications teams
  • Continuously refine the vision, overall story and go-to-market strategies aligned with market needs, competitive environment and CGI global and Canadian priorities through industry councils and ad hoc collaboration sessions
  • Contribute to the strategic planning cycle by developing industry landscape outlooks, identifying key trends and highlighting CGI services and solutions that meet current market needs
  • Collaborate with the external Communications team to develop and execute effective external MarCom plans that build our brand and differentiate CGI to attract clients
  • Collaborate with the internal communications team to develop and execute efficient internal MarCom plans that raise awareness of CGI’s abilities to address client challenges and ensure messaging consistency
  • Collaborate with horizontal marketing leads (AI, Business Consulting, Cyber, Data Analytics, Cloud, Partners, etc.) to highlight areas of expertise and work with other industry verticals on cross-industry initiatives
  • Curate an internal database of business enablement assets (Case Studies, Brochures, Service Descriptions, Battle Cards) and contribute to the development and execution of executive client presentations
  • Enable sales through marketing programs with a tailored marketing mix that combines pull and push tactics
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a marketing function, preferably with B2B Public Sector Marketing expertise in a technology services, technology product or consulting services organization
  • Strong understanding of Canadian Public Sector IT and Business Consulting needs or aptitude to learn quickly
  • Experience in using marketing to bring new services or solutions to market and drive pipeline growth
  • Proven ability to manage numerous concurrent initiatives in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines
  • Go-getter attitude with a proactive approach when things stall
  • Ability to work in a virtual team
  • Excellent command of PPT and other media software, Excel, CRM tools, and internal data / analytic tools
  • Well-developed writing and storytelling skills
  • Mature communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative thinker and proactive problem solver

  • Élaborer et mettre en œuvre des plans de marketing et de communication internes
  • Collaborer avec les responsables de marketing des secteurs horizontaux et avec les marchés verticaux sur des projets multisectoriels
  • Gérer une base de données interne de documentation en développement des affaires et soutenir la présentation de cette documentation
  • Stimuler les ventes par des programmes de marketing et une approche mixte « pousser-tirer »
