The Transaction Screening team is a risk management function responsible for the governance of sanctions screening solutions globally, enterprise wide. The team leads and oversees the Global Sanctions Program’s screening solutions management functions, ensuring that tuning methodology, rules governance framework, and screening standards are developed, managed, executed, and maintained in compliance with governing regulations and internal bank-wide policies and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

Support the sanctions screening solutions management function globally enterprise-wide:
Strategic Project Leadership
  • Lead end-to-end execution of strategic initiatives related to transaction screening, including roadmap development, process redesign, and system implementation.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across Compliance, IT, Operations, and the Business to define scope, prioritize initiatives, and develop actionable plans.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery of initiatives while maintaining alignment with organizational goals.
Governance and Compliance
  • Maintain and enhance framework documents, including screening methodology, governance standards, and risk tolerance frameworks for transaction screening.
  • Ensure all initiatives comply with sanctions regulations, risk tolerance policies, and enterprise-wide governance frameworks.
  • Act as a point of contact for regulatory examinations and audits, providing timely and accurate reporting on transaction screening initiatives.
Data and System Oversight
  • Collaborate with data and analytics teams to ensure robust data governance, quality, and lineage for transaction screening applications.
  • Liaise with IT and Product teams to develop and refine business requirements, ensuring system capabilities meet compliance and business needs.
  • Oversee system testing, tuning, and reporting to validate the efficacy and efficiency of the transaction screening solution.
Stakeholder Management and Communication
  • Provide regular updates and strategic insights to the Director of Transaction Screening and other senior stakeholders on project progress, risks, and impacts.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals.
  • Advocate for a risk-based approach and a culture of compliance throughout the Global Sanctions Program.
People and Culture
  • Lead and drive a customer-focused culture, deepen client relationships, and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Build a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that will attract, retain, develop, and motivate the team and colleagues by fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating vision/values/business strategy, and managing succession and development planning for the team and colleagues.
  • Create and foster an environment in which the team and colleagues pursue effective and efficient operations while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook, and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
