Responsibilities

  • Oversee tax reporting and compliance for multiple entities, including returns, reconciliations, and regulatory filings
  • Lead the review of transactions and provide tax guidance on product launches, mergers, and other business initiatives
  • Support internal teams with tax planning and advisory services, including input on financial reporting and disclosures
  • Develop policies and procedures to maintain compliance with evolving tax legislation and reporting standards
  • Act as the primary contact for auditors, tax authorities, and external advisors
  • Monitor and manage tax differences for accurate financial statement preparation
  • Stay current on tax developments and proactively recommend improvements to processes and controls
  • Participate in special projects and provide subject matter expertise to stakeholders across the business

Qualifications

  • CPA designation required
  • Several years of progressive experience in tax reporting, compliance, or advisory (public practice or industry)
  • Strong knowledge of corporate, trust, and partnership taxation, including indirect tax requirements
  • Familiarity with international tax reporting frameworks (e.g., FATCA, CRS) is considered an asset
  • Skilled in interpreting tax legislation and applying it to practical business needs
  • Proficiency in MS Office and financial reporting tools
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Results-driven with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
