We are a Montreal-based industrial design studio specializing in transportation —buses, trains, shuttles, heavy vehicles, and more. With over 40 years of design expertise and a passion for innovation, we are known for transforming complex engineering mandates into beautiful, functional, and human-centered solutions.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Senior Industrial Designer (Full-Time) to join our growing team. This is a leadership role suited for someone with 5+ years of experience in transportation or vehicle design. You’ll contribute to high-impact design projects and bring both creative vision and technical precision to our work.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, confident in their design process, and thrives in a collaborative studio environment. You’ll be involved at every stage—from concept ideation to final design documentation—and have a key role in evolving the design culture of the studio.

Responsibilities

• Design & Modeling: Lead concept development and 3D modeling using SolidWorks or equivalent CAD tools
• Translate briefs into technical drawings, concept iterations, and high-impact visuals
• Use AI-assisted or rendering tools (Vizcom, KeyShot, Blender, etc.) for ideation and storytelling (a strong asset)
• Partner with the Engineering Director, Project Manager, and design team to bring ideas to life
• Guide junior designers and participate in regular design reviews

Documentation & Reporting

• Deliver comprehensive layouts, exploded views, part drawings, and installation guides
• Contribute to project reports, technical briefs, and internal documentation

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in industrial design, preferably in the transportation or mobility sector
• Mastery of SolidWorks (or equivalent 3D CAD software)
• Demonstrated experience seeing projects through from concept to completion
• Strong visual storytelling and presentation skills
• Familiarity with rendering and visualization tools (KeyShot, Blender, Adobe Suite)
• Knowledge of AI tools (e.g., Vizcom) is an asset
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills
• Available to work on-site in our Montreal (St-Laurent) studio full-time
