Overview

We're looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our Individual Insurance Applications Development team. In this role, you are expected to develop and maintain a diversity of applications in MERN and Java stack living in our cloud infrastructure. Successful candidates will be able to work and learn from different levels of engineers and a wide range of business impact projects. This role covers automation, DevOps, web development, and Gen AI.

Position Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain web applications using MERN, Java and SQL.
  • Develop and Maintain pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Code, test, automate and integrate new features and functionality.
  • Apply creative problem solving to bring software designs to life.
  • Build apps, APIs and data solutions to drive projects.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Good English communication skills for collaborating with global teams.
  • Strong command of React, Node.js, MongoDB, SQL, JavaScript.
  • Strong command of GitHub.
  • Knowledgeable in Azure Services and Azure DevOps.
  • Strong command of Copilot or similar Source Code Gen AI tool, or motivation to become an expert.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Java / Spring Boot knowledge is a plus.
  • Good documentation skills.
  • Proficient with cloud infrastructure (Azure or similar).

Salary and Location

Referenced Salary Location: Waterloo, Ontario

Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Salary range is expected to be between $113,000.00 CAD - $163,000.00 CAD.
