Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack & Data Engineer with a proven track record in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high performance applications and data pipelines. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in both software engineering and data engineering, with a strong understanding of healthcare and life sciences, ideally with prior experience at Johnson & Johnson.
Responsibilities
- Full Stack Engineering: Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using modern frameworks React, Angular, Node.js, Django).
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Ensure high performance, responsiveness, and security of applications.
- Collaborate with UI UX designers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver high quality software.
- Data Engineering: Design and implement robust ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Apache Airflow, Spark, or dbt.
- Work with large scale structured and unstructured data from clinical, operational, and commercial sources.
- Optimize data storage and retrieval using cloud native data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
- Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance in compliance with HIPAA and GxP standards.
Johnson & Johnson Specific Experience
- Should have relevant experience with J&J CDL and Big Data Strategy
- Experience working within J&J technology ecosystem, including platforms like MedTech, Janssen R&D.
- Familiarity with J&J data privacy, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
- Good Knowledge with J&J Xena framework.
- Proven ability to navigate cross-functional teams and matrixed environments typical of J&J.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering and data engineering roles.
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps practices.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and analytics.
- Prior experience in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated industries.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior employment or consulting experience with Johnson & Johnson.
- Experience with tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker for data visualization.
- Knowledge of FHIR, HL7, or other healthcare interoperability standards.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
