What is this opportunity?

The Senior Manager, Home Equity Finance (HEF) Analytics will be a key member of a high‑performance team responsible for establishing HEF at the forefront of advanced analytics and insights. The primary responsibility is to deliver on the analytical priorities for the HEF Business team, primarily for the Acquisition and Distribution teams, leveraging data‑driven methodologies to provide insights that enable better understanding of client behaviour and trends and inform strategies for business optimization, financial performance management and product/client profitability.

Responsibilities
  • Advanced Analytics – Leverage data‑driven tactics to provide analytical–business insights, lead deep‑dive analyses, identify improvement areas for incremental balance growth, market share capture, revenue generation, ROE optimisation and cost efficiencies, and advise on business decisions through KPI measurement and early trend detection.
  • Develop and maintain report‑backs on initiative success, ensuring effective monitoring of expected outcomes and communicating results to stakeholders.
  • Portfolio Management – Deliver regular updates to the Monthly Business Review (MBR), produce monthly/quarterly market‑share results and deep dives, pursue new data sources, support quarterly competitive analysis, leverage automation tools for efficiencies, and help build future‑state tools and capabilities.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of data analytics or data science experience in the Financial Services industry (credit product knowledge preferred).
  • Proficient in SQL, Python, Tableau, SAS.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, influencing skill, strong collaboration and time‑management, attention to detail, curiosity, growth mindset, bias for action, and strategic thinking.
  • Nice to have: experience in Product Management, Credit Strategy, Marketing or Financial Analysis within Financial Services; knowledge of Data Lake, Spark SQL, Trino, data infrastructure and automation tools; deep understanding of the mortgage industry; Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field.
