About the Role: Financial Reporting Analyst

This role plays a crucial part in the company's accurate and timely financial reporting processes. You\'ll prepare essential reports, collaborate with auditors, contribute to budget development, and have the opportunity to shape the company\'s ESG reporting strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare quarterly and annual statutory reporting for lenders and joint venture partners.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly financial statements and board reporting materials.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, ensuring timely audit work completion.
  • Contribute to the annual budget preparation and presentation to the Board.
  • Play a key role in the ESG reporting process, researching frameworks, reviewing peer reporting, and recommending improvements.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure accurate ESG reporting and maintain well-controlled internal reporting processes.
  • Prepare and analyze balance sheet accounts, continuity schedules, and ad-hoc variance analysis.
  • Contribute to the development, documentation, and testing of internal controls.
  • Participate in special financial reporting projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in commerce or accounting, with a CPA, CA designation.
  • 3-4 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, and / or auditing. Big 4 experience is a plus.
  • Passion for sustainability and social impact. Experience with ESG reporting frameworks is an asset.
  • Experience working with multi-national entities, international consolidations, and foreign exchange is preferred.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience with Yardi 7.0 and OneStream is considered an asset.
