Qualifications

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Serve as a project task manager or lead discipline engineer on electrical and I&C projects
  • Scope and budget projects, coordinating staff assignments and execution methods
  • Manage and execute electrical designs to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery
  • Mentor junior and mid-level electrical and I&C engineers and designers
  • Communicate and interface with clients while collaborating with a national team of technical experts
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • BS in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional registration (P.Eng.) or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in the industrial sector
  • Proficiency in Revit/BIM environment and AutoCAD
  • Solid knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and electrical safety systems
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • 12-15+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in water/wastewater projects
  • Supervisory and mentoring experience with Electrical staff
  • Experience with power system software design/modeling (SKM, ETAP, EasyPower)
  • Knowledge of CSA Z462, IEEE 1584, and IEEE 519 standards
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70 and 70E, NFPA 820
