Job Description
The Senior Director, Canada Sales will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for building and leading a best-in-class sales organization responsible for achieving sales objectives for BeOne’s oncology products within Canada. The Senior Director, Sales as a member of the Canada Leadership Team, will collaborate across BeOne Medicines to develop commercialization strategies that enable the BeOne oncology portfolio to meet its full revenue potential, while playing a key role in making BeOne Medicines available to Canadian patients through their healthcare professionals.
Essential Functions Of The Job
- Serve as an active member of the BeOne Canada Core Leadership Team (CLT).
- Achieve sales targets for BeOne’s oncology products in Canada, including BRUKINSA, TEVIMBRA, and future medicines following their approval by Health Canada.
- Maintain and build BeOne’s sales function within Canada, including the oversight, recruitment and hiring of field force, sales training & execution, and future sales leaders.
- Establish a culture that inspires sales colleagues to build, grow, and drive best-in-class team performance.
- Responsible for setting the National and Regional sales plans needed to meet company objectives.
- Work closely with Marketing, Commercial Excellence including Patient Support Programs, and Business Analytics to establish, measure and exceed field force effectiveness standards.
- Oversight of the Canadian Commercial Learning & Development and Sales Execution function, responsible for the development and execution of sales training programs. This includes adapting, and designing, delivering, and evaluating training sessions, assessing team performance, and providing coaching to enhance clinical sales techniques.
- Partner closely with the Canadian Marketing & Operations, and Access leadership to ensure alignment of BeOne Medicine’s Canadian commercialization strategy.
- Guide and support the Canadian tactical plan, with a focus on the design, implementation and measurement of marketing and sales strategy. Lead the field implementation of plans including medical education activities as appropriate.
- Manage and build cross-functional process and communication in support of the overall business strategy
- Participate in cross-functional brand teams representing the Sales function
- Ensures that all sales activities are executed in full compliance with Company guidelines.
- Ensures compliance with Canadian pharmacovigilance regulations, including the reporting of adverse drug reactions and product quality complaints
Qualifications
- 10-15+ years experience working in dynamic and fast-paced environments in Sales, Sales Management, and Marketing roles is required
- 5+ years Hematology/Oncology Sales Experience in Canada is required
- 5+ years of experience in people management is required
- Experience working at the Canadian Leadership Team level of a small to mid-sized Canadian biopharmaceutical company is an asset
- Executive presence and ability to represent the BeOne Medicine’s Canada Sales organization on cross-functional teams including participants from Sales Leadership in the US and Global Markets
- Strong written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the Organization
- Experience developing and executing successful launch commercial strategies is required
- Proven cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills
- Strong skills communicating and influencing with a compelling data-driven narrative
- Capability of analyzing big data and extracting critical insights
- Ability to translate clinical concepts with marketing message to execute learning programs
- Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of the Canadian regulatory environment
- Able to navigate applicable standard operating procedures
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead teams and have the managerial courage to make and stand by difficult decisions.
- Record of attracting and developing strong sales talent.

- Fluently bilingual, English and French verbal/written demonstrated competency required

Education Required
Advanced degree (e.g. MBA), preferred in business, economics, biological, or medical sciences. At least 15 years of industry experience

- Various CRM platforms (Explorer, Navigator, GURU, Veeva)
