Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst with a strong background in business data analysis, SQL development, and reporting. This role will work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define user stories, and help shape data solutions that align with business objectives. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, technically proficient, and experienced in translating business needs into actionable insights and technical requirements.

Location : Hybrid 1-Day onsite

Status : Contract

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to capture, refine, and document user stories and data requirements
  • Map business requirements to data and participate in defining data models in collaboration with data engineers
  • Create prototypes and proof-of-concept dashboards using Tableau and SQL
  • Translate complex business logic into clear and actionable data tasks for engineering teams
  • Design and write complex SQL queries for analysis and reporting
  • Develop, maintain and troubleshoot complex SSIS packages including data flow, control flow and error handling
  • Perform basic unit testing and assist in business acceptance testing (BAT)
  • Document business rules, data transformations, and reporting logic
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards in Tableau to support business decision-making
Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in SQL and SSIS
  • Solid understanding of SSIS components including data flow tasks, control flow and error handling
  • Proven experience building reports and dashboards using Tableau
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to articulate business logic clearly and collaborate effectively with data engineers and developers
  • Experience participating in or contributing to data modeling activities is a strong plus
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to perform unit testing and support user acceptance testing
