Job summary

A leading technology firm in Canada is looking for a Lead Functional Consultant with expertise in Dynamics 365 Finance and Project Management & Accounting. This role requires at least 10 years of experience in finance, including several full-cycle implementations of D365. A strong educational background along with practical knowledge of global financial standards and reporting tools such as Power BI is essential. The candidate should be a hands-on leader who can effectively mentor teams and manage stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a core finance team member working with Dynamics AX and D365F&SC.
• Proven ability to lead functional workstreams and manage cross-functional dependencies.
• Strong grasp of accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and project billing models.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead workshops to gather business needs.
• Perform detailed fit-gap analysis and drive functional decisions.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure execution matches design.
• Serve as the functional SME for all design decisions.
• Guide and mentor functional consultants to ensure alignment with delivery milestones.
