Overview

Infosys is seeking SAP Basis & HANA DB administration Consultant, with experience in SAP Upgrade, System Refresh, System Copy, setting up new SAP landscape, CHARM integration with ECC, other integrations with SAP, scheduling batch jobs, maintenance, and escalation of issues to respective teams. The candidate must be able to troubleshoot issues and provide support as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform SAP Basis and HANA DB administration for SAP ECC, HANA DB, and related components.
• Coordinate SAP upgrades, patches, system refreshes, backups/restores, and system copies; set up new SAP landscapes.
• Manage CHARM integration with ECC and other SAP integrations; schedule and monitor batch jobs; provide maintenance and escalation as needed.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide timely support; monitor system performance and perform basic tuning.
• Assist in documentation of regular procedures and Runbooks; participate in special projects as required.
• Work with Linux, AIX, and Windows servers; experience with clustered OS environments and HA/DR configurations.
• Engage in project work and collaborate within a Global delivery environment; communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Basic
• Located within commuting distance of Mississauga, Ontario / Calgary, Alberta / BC or willing to relocate; travel may be required.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• Authorized to work for any employer in Canada without employer-based visa sponsorship; Infosys cannot sponsor immigration for this role.
• Preferred
• Experience with SAP Basis administration for SAP ECC, HANA DB, Solution Manager, etc.; SAP HANA DB for ECC and other DB systems.
• Knowledge of Linux, AIX, Windows; familiarity with clustered OS environments and HA/DR setups.
• Experience with system refreshes, backups/restores, system upgrades and patches; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; SAP administration certifications; proven SAP Administrator experience.
• Strong understanding of SAP architecture and modules; proficiency in troubleshooting SAP system issues; experience with system monitoring and tuning; backup and recovery familiarity.
• 5–7 years of IT experience; 5–7 years with SAP ECC; 3 years with SAP HANA DB; knowledge of SAP best practices; ability to manage multiple tasks and projects; strong attention to detail and organization.
• Desirable (Nice to Have)
• Knowledge of interface scheduling, file transfer job scheduling, BW process chains, Unix job scheduling; day-to-day management of production systems; process for batch job notifications, alerts, monitoring, and escalation.
• Ability to document regular procedures; understand client requirements; troubleshoot customer-impacting issues; create automation scripts; maintain Level 1 Runbooks.
• Escalation according to SOPs; participate in special projects; strong analytical skills; desire to work in a global delivery environment.
