Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your procurement and strategic sourcing expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and dynamic teammates. You’ll drive impactful supplier negotiations, ensuring cost reductions while maintaining quality standards. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Commodity Managers, local procurement teams, and cross-functional departments), manage supplier performance to ensure timely delivery of goods and services, and develop procurement policies to maintain compliance—and much more.

  • Prepare and launch Request for Quotation with suppliers.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, service, and price.
  • Negotiate and manage supplier contracts to ensure cost reductions while maintaining quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and product specifications.
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining commercial relationships with suppliers and leading complex negotiation on contractual conditions of Purchase. This will include organising bids and comparing and judging supplier offers relative to new and existing customer requests.
  • Maintain supplier relationships and manage supplier performance to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Develop and maintain procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with Commodity Managers to assess sourcing possibilities on regional level across the business lines and recommend synergies to local procurement teams.
  • Identify potential savings and implement continuous cost reduction initiatives.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering or related field
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing with minimum 5 years in the Rail Industry

  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. SAP knowledge will be an added advantage.
