Within KPMG's Transaction Services practice, our professionals provide financial due diligence services on behalf of our clients to help them drive value from M&A (Merger & Acquisitions) with a forward-thinking approach to deal planning. We are currently looking for experienced CPA professionals, at the Senior Associate level with Audit, Transactions Services and/or Financial Services experience.

Our Transaction Services team in Toronto is looking for a professional like you with the skills and drive to make a real difference.

As a Senior Associate, you will be working in multi-disciplinary teams and apply your professional and technical skills on a wide variety of transactions, at various stages of the transaction cycle.


What you will do

  • Support managers and partners in managing project timelines and deliver multiple simultaneous client engagements of varying size, scope, and complexity
  • Evaluate business’ historical performance and sustainability of earnings / cash flows, working capital cycles, financial projections, key contractual commitments, accounting policies and management control environment
  • Identify and report on key issues, perform the relevant financial analysis, and interpret results.
  • Participate in KPMG’s engagement teams with senior client executives, attorneys, and investors.
  • Write detailed professional reports and other client deliverables.
  • Establish credibility and develop relationships with current and prospective clients.
  • On occasion, support other business units in a cross-functional role (e.g., Valuations, Corporate Finance, Restructuring, Global Infrastructure Advisory Group, etc.).

What you bring to the role

  • Must have a professional designation (CPA, CA) or working towards CPA
  • Experience in either Audit or Financial Due Diligence / Transaction Services.
  • Financial and commercial awareness with sound investigative skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to speak other languages is an asset (e.g., French, Mandarin or Spanish).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills at a business level
  • Interpersonal skills with professional maturity and demonstrated ability to effectively interact and build relationships with a diverse group of clients and colleagues
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and succeed in a fast-paced environment LI-ET1
