Job Summary

The Senior Applications Technical Specialist plays a critical role in the support, maintenance, integration, and enhancement of enterprise applications across the organization. This senior‑level position requires deep technical knowledge of application architecture, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally to deliver reliable and scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will serve as a subject‑matter expert, provide mentorship to junior team members, and ensure business continuity through robust application support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the technical lead for enterprise applications, including ERP, CRM, HRIS, or other business‑critical platforms.
  • Design, configure, test, and implement application solutions based on business requirements.
  • Lead complex troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for application issues, coordinating with vendors and internal teams as needed.
  • Develop and maintain integration points between applications, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to assess needs and recommend improvements or new application features.
  • Monitor application performance, apply patches, and manage upgrades with minimal downtime.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge‑base articles.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior technical staff and support analysts.
  • Ensure application security compliance with organizational and industry standards.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution related to enterprise applications.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10–18 years of experience in application support, development, or systems integration.
  • Proven experience working with enterprise platforms (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Workday, etc.).
Technical Skills
  • Strong proficiency in application architecture and support best practices.
  • Knowledge of APIs, web services, and middleware tools (REST, SOAP, JSON, etc.).
  • Experience with database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle DB) and writing complex queries.
  • Familiarity with cloud‑based application environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, SaaS platforms).
  • Scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python) are a plus.
  • Understanding of ITIL practices and service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Self‑starter with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred Certifications
  • ITIL Foundation
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect / Power Platform
  • Salesforce Administrator or Developer Certification
  • Oracle Certified Professional / SAP Certifications (as applicable)
