Senior Backend Engineer

Location: Hybrid (3 days/week in Downtown Toronto)

Type: Full-Time

We’re building backend systems that power automation for complex, high-trust workflows—think onboarding, document processing, and data extraction at scale. Our customers are large enterprises in tightly regulated industries. They rely on us to turn manual tasks into clean, reliable automation.

What You’ll Do

• Design and optimize the backend for systems that process structured and unstructured documents
• Build scalable services that support LLM-based extraction and classification
• Develop performant APIs, job queues, and model orchestration pipelines
• Improve performance and fault tolerance in high-throughput environments
• Collaborate across product, frontend, and AI/ML teams to deliver production-ready features
• Mentor engineers and shape backend best practices
