Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in North York. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in public accounting and corporate tax, looking to make a significant impact through direct client engagement and leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in direct communication with clients to address and resolve complex accounting and tax issues.
  • Compile and produce accurate financial statements in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in strict compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
  • Prepare corporate tax returns for various investment companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct preparation of Notice-to-Readers and participate in assurance work.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Qualifications
  • CPA Designation is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Canadian public accounting.
  • Strong expertise in accounting practices and corporate tax knowledge.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Outstanding communication and client service skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
  • Proficient teamwork skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Experience with TaxPrep, CaseWare, and Caseview is essential.
