A privately held company in the construction and manufacturing space is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. It's an ideal role for a technically strong accounting professional who can hit the ground running.

About the Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Senior Accountant will handle full-cycle accounting tasks including AP review, journal entries, and preparation of draft financial statements. This role is essential to maintain accounting accuracy and support financial stability.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, reconciliations, and month-end processes
• Prepare draft financial statements with attention to detail and accuracy
• Assist with internal reporting and general ledger maintenance
• Work closely with another Senior Accountant to share workload across entities
• Contribute to process improvement and ERP optimization (Sage 300 CRE)
• Assist with ad hoc tasks during ERP or restructuring initiatives

What You Bring

CPA designation in progress (preferred); CPA designation a strong asset

3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience in a mid-size or entrepreneurial environment

Solid technical accounting skills and ability to prepare working papers and financials

Proficiency in Sage 300 CRE is a strong asset

Comfortable with Excel and general ERP workflows

Ability to take initiative, work independently, and adapt in a changing environment
