Job description

Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL, and payroll.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Canadian ASPE.
• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes.
• Ensure compliance with all federal and provincial tax filings and regulations (GST/HST, PST).
• Coordinate the year-end audit and act as the main contact for external auditors.
• Develop and implement accounting procedures to improve efficiency and internal controls.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.
• Collaborate with various departments to provide financial insights and support strategic decisions.

Requirements:

• CPA designation or in final stages of completion is highly preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a senior or supervisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of Canadian GAAP/ASPE and tax regulations.
• High proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
