We're looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join our client's team as a Senior Accountant in Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON!

In this full‑time, permanent role, you'll help our client with their accounting needs.

What You’ll Do:
  • Financial Reporting – Month‑End Close: Own the full cycle of accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Deliver accurate and timely financial results that leadership can trust.
  • Accounts Payable – Receivable Oversight: Manage vendor and customer accounts with precision – ensuring invoices, payments, and collections flow smoothly. Help strengthen cash flow visibility and implement smarter processes.
  • Inventory – Cost Accounting: Reconcile inventory and COGS with accuracy, ensuring financial data aligns with operational movement. Partner with operations to maintain accurate costing across all sales channels.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting – Analysis: Collaborate on financial forecasts and monthly reporting. Provide insights that improve profitability, efficiency, and cost management.
  • Process Improvement – Systems: Drive automation and efficiency within accounting workflows. Support ERP (Dynamics 365) and BI (PowerBI) integrations that elevate accuracy and speed.
  • Compliance – Controls: Maintain internal control standards, assist with audit preparation, and ensure compliance across all financial documentation and procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • CPA designation or CPA student in final stages (required)
  • Must have private sector experience
  • 3‑5 years of experience in full‑cycle accounting
  • Experience in e‑commerce or retail preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills (VBA/Macros, INDEX/MATCH)
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Adaptability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
What Would Be A Bonus:
  • Familiarity with PowerBI for reporting strongly preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central strongly preferred
  • Exposure to AI or automation tools for process improvement
Salary:
  • $95,000 – $105,000 per annum
