Responsibilities

In this role, you get the chance to work alongside other port-related and logistics services. As a Container Terminal Security Officer, your main duties will include addressing inquiries, hazards, obstacles, and traffic concerns, patrolling the facility regularly, ensuring authorized entry to secure areas only, writing detailed incident reports, and complying with the Marine Transportation Security Regulations.

Qualifications

• Calm, cool, and collected. As an Industrial Security Officer, you thrive under pressure, always providing exceptional customer service with a friendly smile. Equipped with PPE and excellent written communication skills, you consistently deliver detailed incident reports that exceed expectations.
• Have been in Canada in the last 5 consecutive years
• Have strong communication skills
• Have a valid BC security license
• Have Basic First Aid or be willing to obtain it
• Are legally authorized to work in Canada
• Have a valid Transport Security Clearance or willing to obtain
• Security officers are subject to thorough background checks and security clearances, in addition to carrying a valid Security License

NICE TO HAVE

• Good problem solving and decision-making skills, including working under pressure
• Discretion when handling confidential and private information
• Ability to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time

Please note that applicants seeking employment at the terminal must be able to obtain and maintain a Transportation Security Clearance as identified by the Marine Transportation Security Clearance Program.
