Overview

Position: Security Guard | Full-Time - Campbellford Memorial Hospital
Site: Campbellford Memorial Hospital - 146 Oliver Rd
Hours: Continental Rotation - 08:00-20:00
Payrate: $20.09/hour
Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Site Description:

Campbellford Memorial Hospital (CMH), a 38-bed healthcare facility located in Trent Hills, serves approximately 40,000 residents across Northumberland, Peterborough, and Hastings Counties. It also caters to a significant seasonal influx of cottagers and tourists in the Kawartha Lakes Region and Trent River System.

Responsibilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and flexible environment with maintaining the utmost professionalism
  • Strong interpersonal skills, flexible, and customer service orientation
  • Remain calm and effectively perform in emergency situations
  • Able to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
  • Observant and fastidious in note-taking
  • Above average mediation, de-escalation, and conflict resolution scenarios
  • Concierge-focused (customer service) interactions with the general public, patients, and clients
  • Programming access cards and managing active cards
  • Patient Watch
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination)
  • Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider)
  • Copy of Immunization Records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, TB Skin Test - Step 1 & 2)
  • Minimum 1 year of security experience required
  • Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; French is considered an asset
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
  • Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to onboarding training to meet requirements; training is not paid but Paladin covers the costs with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
  • Authorized to legally work in Canada

Certification Requirements (All): First Aid, CPR Level C; Valid Ontario Security License
