Qualifications

Overview

Security Guard – Full Time Afternoons at Nike Canada Warehouse, 260 Brimley Road, Scarborough, Toronto, ON. Monday to Friday, 1530–2330 hrs. $19.22/hour.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and patrol the premises to ensure safety and security.
  • Perform regular security checks of the property, including parking areas, entrances, exits, and other designated areas.
  • Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized access or unlawful activities.
  • Control access at entry points and ensure only authorized personnel enter the premises.
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies and take appropriate actions as needed.
  • Assist in the enforcement of company policies and procedures, including monitoring and reporting any suspicious activities.
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or security breaches promptly to the management team.
  • Complete daily logs and security reports, documenting any unusual occurrences.
  • Provide assistance to employees, visitors, and vendors as needed.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and security equipment, ensuring they are functioning properly.
  • Cooperate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and other relevant authorities as needed.
  • Ensure all safety equipment is properly maintained and ready for use.
  • Must be able to commute to the pre-deployment training (3 of 5 training days).
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB).
  • Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to onboarding to meet the position requirements.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as stated and directed by the client and/or management.
Prerequisites
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
  • WSIB‑Approved First Aid and CPR Level‑C Certification.
  • Proficient in English (both oral and written).
  • Willing to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check upon offer of employment.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID‑19 with at least 2 doses—proof required.
  • Authorized to work in Canada legally.
