Ideal Candidate

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License and First AID/CPR
• Proven experience in security, preferably in a gatehouse or similar setting
• Excellent Communication Skills, data entry, and attention to detail skills.

• Comfortable with Radio Communication
• Able to Write Reports on Job-Related Activities
• Keen Eye for Observing Exterior and Interior Premises
• Ability to walk/stand 12-hour shifts providing proactive and reactive security patrols and response to incidents
• Having a valid driver's license & personal vehicle is an asset

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the distribution center by verifying the identity of incoming and outgoing personnel and vehicles.
• Ensure that all gatehouse procedures are followed, including logging the entry and exit of trucks and visitors.
• Conduct regular inspections of the gatehouse area to ensure it remains secure and free from unauthorized access.
• Operate and monitor surveillance equipment to detect and respond to any suspicious activity or security breaches.
• Conduct regular patrols of the distribution center premises to deter and detect unauthorized activity.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations & risk assessments, including alarms, accidents, or security threats, and take appropriate action according to established protocols.
• Maintain detailed records of all security-related activities and incidents.

Pay: $18.50
