Temporary position for 12 months

The Cybersecurity Monitoring Ecosystem Department is looking for a security data governance advisor to join its team of experts in handling large volumes of sensitive and confidential data essential to cybersecurity activities. This role is key to ensuring rigorous data governance and respect for lifecycles in a multi-petabyte data lake. Your role consists in contributing to the implementation and maintenance of the security data lake, which is the authoritative source for every team in the Cybersecurity Monitoring Ecosystem Department. You will play a leadership role with various contributors in strategic, complex and innovative projects and initiatives. Coordination is critical. You will interact with many stakeholders working in a wide range of fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. More specifically, you will be required to :

  • Define and ensure compliance with governance rules on how the data in the lake is used.
  • Actively contribute to strategies for ingesting, valorizing and consuming the data needed to monitor IT activities.
  • Help develop and use resources, tools and methods to collect, consolidate, model and provide enterprise data to strengthen the security posture and provide decision-makers with a reliable and relevant overview.
  • Make recommendations on the development and execution of projects and initiatives with a high degree of operational and conceptual complexity, using your detailed, comprehensive understanding of your line of business and the organization.
  • Serve as a specialist advisor for decision-making bodies.
  • Define data architecture priorities.
  • Ensure that quality assurance and sound data management controls are implemented.
  • Oversee the data catalogue and serve as a liaison with the DGSO data governance team.
  • Model the data lake’s information assets to provide a structured representation that complies with industry best practices (Bronze/Silver/Gold, data vaults, data products, etc.).
  • Document and classify the data in the data lake.
  • Represent your unit before decision-making bodies.
